Biografi:

Amis roman om en grupp pensionerade vnner, The Old Devils vann the Booker Prize 1986 .

Han skrev den populra Fallet James Bond under sitt eget namn, men ven The Book of Bond, or, Every Man His Own 007 under pseudonymen Bill Tanner, som r M:s stabschef i Flemings romaner om James Bond.

Sir Kingsley William Amis
CBE (16 April 1922 22 October 1995) was an English novelist, poet, critic and teacher. He wrote more than twenty novels, three collections of poetry, short stories, radio and television scripts, and books of social and literary criticism. According to his biographer, Zachary Leader, Amis was 'the finest British comic novelist of the second half of the twentieth century'. He is the father of the English novelist Martin

Colonel Sun (1968), by Robert Markham

Colonel Sun (1968), by Robert Markham, is the first James Bond continuation novel published after Ian Fleming's death in 1964; Glidrose Productions used the collective pseudonym "Robert Markham", for British novelist Kingsley Amis, with the intent of so publishing other novels by different writers. Previously,

Amis had written the literary study The James Bond Dossier, and the humorous The Book of Bond (under the William Tanner pseudonym), and waand was rumoured the editor and ghost writer of The Man with the Golden Gun, Fleming's final novel.

Discounting Christopher Wood's two screenplay novelisations, and the novel James Bond: The Authorised Biography of 007 (1973), by John Pearson, Colonel Sun was the last, new novel in the Fleming canon's original Cold War time (the 1950s and the 1960s), until Licence Renewed (1981), by John Gardner, who, like Raymond Benson, updated the character to the 1980s and to the postCold War 21st century respectively, until publication of Devil May Care (2008).

1965- He wrote the James Bond Dossier under his name.
              "The book of James Bond"

the book of james bond

The Book of Bond or, Every Man His Own 007 is a book by Kingsley Amis which was first published by Jonathan Cape in 1965. For this work, Amis used the pseudonym Lt.-Col. William ("Bill") Tanner. In Ian Fleming's James Bond novels, Bill Tanner is M's chief of staff and a recurring character throughout the series. A tongue-in-cheek work, published by the same company that issued the Bond novels,
The Book of Bond is a manual for prospective agents on how to live like Agent 007, illustrated with examples taken from the Fleming canon. The first edition of this book was published with a false slipcover printed with the title The Bible to be Read as Literature. In one of the early Bond novels, Bond carries his gun in a hollowed out book of this title. Amis, a close friend of Fleming's, was also responsible for two other works related to the James Bond series. In 1965, he wrote The James Bond Dossier, a collection of essays on the book and film series, and in 1968, under the pseudonym Robert
